    Default JO not on ltssl

What does the employer need to provide as proof that there are no kiwis to do the job ? What all proof do need to give with your EOI for job offer ? If you get a job offer that is on the LTSSL does it have to say exactly what NZQA says for the job ? I'm looking at diesel Mechanic but I have only seen one job offer that says " Diesel Mechanic level 4 " ( which is on the LTSSL ) all the rest just say Diesel mechanic .

See under Evidence there are no New Zealand workers available, here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...entialwork.htm, and follow the red link 'genuinely searched'.

No, the job title doesn't have to be a match. What has to match up are the job description, qualifications and experience required on the ANZSCO list. https://www.acacia-au.com/anzsco/321212.php And there are instructions here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/46411.htm (section b in the case of a diesel mechanic) explaining about the kind of job offer you need for it to count.

If you're applying for residence under SMC the Labour Market Test doesn't apply - it applies to some temporary work visas (other than those on LTSSL, ISSL, CSSL or for an Accredited Employer).

Labour Market test ?What is that . I'm just planning out my fact finding trip in Aug. and was going to send my CV to employers who have listings for Diesel mechanics and Welders I just wanted to know what is needed to prove that I really have a Job offer just incase they ask .
Man this immigration is a pain . Everytime time you think you have a plan then you find out there is more to it . URG !!!

The labour market test is just the official name for proving there are no NZers available to do the job, like in the first link I gave you above, which, as Karen says, only applies for some temporary work visas. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra.../requirements/

You have to send INZ the official letter offering the job, and copy of the contract, including all the small print.

in my case, I requested the company to write a letter that describes how long they have been looking for candidate, how many candidates they have received but failed, how I fit to the job (previous experiences that applicable, expertise...). Also the company gave me a print out of the Seek webpage that shows how many candidate applied for the role.

I submitted that letter with my work visa and it turns out fine.
For my SMC, I requested the same thing with a additional confirmation about the future growth area and skill shortage stuff.

Sorry Trumpnut - didn't mean to cause such consternation! I would hate to do a test on the subject of the Labour market!
