Default Any tips on Creating CV for ICT jobs in NZ ?

    Dear all,

I'm thinking to look for an ICT job opening in NZ, do you mind giving advice on what kind of CV that people in NZ can appreciate ?
Should i create it as complete as possible (can be more than 4 pages) ?
or Should I make it as simple as possible ?

Fyi, I have more than 5 years of working experiences in ICT field in Singapore, mainly in Software Engineering / System Analysis in Java & .NET (C#/ASP.NET) environment which involve many projects. Writing all of my experiences and explaining about all the projects that I have been involved can be quite long and I'm not sure if Employer / Recruiter in NZ can appreciate that.

Do anybody have some good advice in this matter ?

    Thanks.

I've been doing several interviews in NZ and received a wide range of CV's. I don't have much time, so I never read it from start to end. A good summary on all your experience and summary per project / employer is important. Don't be to detailed I'd say. And, it's good to highlight your good skills, but don't lie.

    Hi Icarus,

I also from Singapore, and recently got NZ residence visa.

Did you move to NZ ? Hows the job market for IT (Java) ?

    Hi all,
Up the topic since I'm also very interested in it. My husband degree is Computer Science with experience in software tester (few months as intern-ship) and we are looking to move to NZ to hunt down jobs.

    Please keep it posted!
