    Question Cheap Accommodation in Napier

    Hi all,

Looking for some suggestions for cheap accommodation in Napier for a short weekend away.

We're a family of 2 adults and 3 kids four and under and would be looking to stay pretty close to the CBD.

    Any suggestions will be welcome

We stayed in a family unit at the Pania Lodge motel in Napier primarily becuase it was cheap. Basically a spacious, clean, unit with 2 bedrooms, big bathroom, lounge and small kitchen. It's located on the main road out of town towards Havelock. It isn't really within walking distance of the CBD though - about 5-10 minutes drive. The prices certainly rise when you start looking in the CBD. Try Marine Parade - it's got lots of accommodation options fairly close to the CBD.

Sorry it's taken a while ... thanks guys for the links.

As we've now got the in laws as well we've booked Palm City Motel and one of the 2 bed townhouses for this weekend.

Any suggestions for kid friendly nice restaurants ? ? :-)

Here's hoping the weather is good and we have a good time

The Mussel Boys ( I think thats the right one ) on the Marine Parade road.

Ocean Cafe again on the front. There is a pool/gym etc which you can do day membership at. But most importantly you can sit having brekkie or lunch and look out over the ocean. The owner is a brit been there about 3 years.

Ocean beach was great, just sun, sea, surf and sand.

Have a lovely time. Let us know what you find....
