Default NZ citizen supporting parnter fro residence

    Hello All,

I'm a NZ citizen trying to support my partner residence application (who currently is on partnership work visa).
In 1178 form, it asks for police certificiate for countries I have been lived for 12 months or more.

I lived in japan for 3 years between 2007-2009.
Apart from that I have been living in NZ all time.
Do I still need to provide a Japan police certificate? Or the NZ one INZ will get is enough?

You will need a police certificate from Japan. For the NZ partner it is any country in which you have lived for more than 12 months in the last 7 years - see A18 on INZ1178.
