To pick up on your last question (and hoping someone else will answer the one about how times are running at the moment) - the fact that the medical has been referred isn't a sign of anything else that is happening. If the INZ officials see either that the doctor has ticked for an abnormality, or (we think) mention of certain trigger words, they automatically send the report to the MAs. The medical being passed is just one item that has to be ticked off on the list for each case, and there's no set order for things to be dealt with. The CO may be working on checking the others, may have finished them, or may not have started yet, and there is no way to tell. But of course, however all the rest of the case checks out, the medical HAS to pass before the CO can finalize the case.
