Default Can I apply for residence before 24 months on a work to residence (accredited employer) visa?

    Hi,

I currently hold a work to residence visa with an accredited employer and have been in living/working in New Zealand on that visa for less than a year. Can anyone tell me whether I am eligible to apply for residence yet? INZ Website states that you can apply for residence after 24 months, but people tell me that you can actually apply for residence sooner but I cannot see confirmation of this on the INZ website. Any advice / experience from people on this type of visa would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Cat

You could apply for residence sooner but through the SMC route.
