Mandarin speaking playgroup/daycare

Hi,

We might be moving to Wellington. Thus I would like to find out about the school here.

My husband is a Kiwi and I am Singaporean. In order to keep up my son's (2.5yo) Mandarin. I would like him to attend some full day Mandarin speaking playgroup or day care.

Appreciate if anyone had any recommendation as I am totally new to Wellington.

Hi Jo,
Some childcare centres have teachers that speak Mandarin. While it is not total immersion, like a playgroup, the teachers can expose your son to some Mandarin. Once you know which area of Welington you will live you can ring a few centres and ask if any of their teachers speak Mandarin.
