interview...??
Hi,if somebody applied through an immigration advisor under SMC,is it possible that s/he could be face an interview from their CO....???

Hi
If you have a job offer, then you might not face any interview,
However, if you dont have a job offer, then yes, you would be interviewed.

Whether or not you used an immigration adviser would have nothing to do with the CO interviewing you.
INZ have the right to interview any applicant about anything, if it seems that is the best way to get information they need to further the application. However, the most usual interviews are these. 1) Every applicant for Residence under SMC, who doesn't have a job or job offer, gets interviewed to determine their 'employability' (their knowledge of NZ, and their readiness to settle in and contribute). 2) Some couples are interviewed, together and/or separately, for the CO to check the genuine nature of their partnership.

Thnx Harman n JM....do a partner of SMC needs to prove their standard of English until they do not access their points of skilled job or qualification for principle applicant .....?

If you are not claiming points for your partner's qualification, s/he must have a minimum English standard of average 5 on IELTS, or otherwise you will have to prepay for ESOL lessons. See SM5.10 and SM5.20. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/30617.htm
