Question Applying for Residency runing out of time....

    Hi there,

I am a UK citizen that has been living in NZ for the past 3 years together with my Kiwi partner.

Previously I have held a - Working Holiday Visa, a Working: Talent Visa and I am currently on a Work Visa – Partner of NZ citizen.

My visa expires in 2 months time having held it for 2 years in total and I am only just getting round to applying for Residency now (slack I know!). I was told to apply for a Temporary Work Visa - Partner at the same time as submitting my Residency application.

Does anyone know If I can just submit the temp work partner visa without the residency application? Apparently it only take 25 days to process that type of visa, just don’t think I will have OZ and UK police certificates back in time to send it all in at the same time.....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you could just put in for another partner-sponsored work visa at this time, for speed, and forward the Residence application when all the paperwork is to hand.
