I would Say wait for the AIP letter to arrive...although once the status changes there shouldn't be anything holding you from being happy...i am passing through the same phase...it is a awesome feeling...you shall be receiving AIP mail within 2-3 working days...we popped the champagne only when we had the letter in front of us...having said that tell yourself worries are over...welcome to NZ...

Thanks all, don't want to get too excited until I receive confirmation though

    ITA lodged - 18 March
CO assigned - 18 August (asked for payslips & called my boss
    Approval - 21st august

Any idea how long until I get the famous blue sticker?

    Thanks everyone

After you get the email, you'll get a package through the post, containing all the instructions about paying the Migrant Levy and sending your passport in to have the visa (blue sticker) stuck in it. Some people wait up to three weeks or so for the package. Once you send in your passport, things go pretty quickly - a couple of weeks at the most. Depending on how busy the local office is at the time, some people have even been able to arrange to go in and get everything done on the spot in person (but things are very busy right now, so don't count on that being a possibility).

ra92, if you click on someone's username over one of their posts, you can click to see their previous posts, which tell you more about them and their case, very often. I see mb1988 is in Wellington, and that's where the application went.
