Just curious, is there another NZ community forum like these? I understand most users here are probably ones that move to NZ (or have interests to move to NZ), but just curious if there is any NZ community forums for the local?

Well the internet only got here in 2006, so there aren't too many local websites yet.

If you do a Google search and type in community forum new zealand, it's surprising what comes up.

There's a few I've seen including Trademe, Geekzone, gp forums, PC world forums, Kiwi biker, various baby forums, various car and fishing forums. Lots are "specialist" but [nearly] all have off-topic sections.

I think the point is that of course there are internet forums in NZ by NZers! Mikew, what are you interested in? Like the others have told you, just google search new zealand forum and the subject you're interested in. It reminds me of the time my mother asked me if we have turkey in NZ. It's not that remote. Almost, but not quite.

Thanks. I already googled, but came up with specialized forum like video games, computer, etc, which is not really my thing. I am hoping for something a bit more general like this. That's why I ask

I wouldn't really consider this "general". This is a pretty specialised forum, the subject being "Emigration/Immigration to New Zealand". Are you looking for a forum that has no subject?

I think all he's asking is are there forums for people who live in specific places like a forum for people who live in Wellington or Dunedin.
