Call or email your CO if you can. You want to know when they're done and have sent it back.
We found our return passports in an envelop left at the doorstep by the postman, here in NZ. That was scary.

We got ours within 04 working days. But we got it done in Singapore itself after request was given to our CO(Shanghai branch).
Typically, it should be about 03-05 working days followed by the postage time.
