Change of job after applying for residency
Hi I'm an IT professional. I'm currently in NZ on work visa and my work visa is specific to employer.
I have recently applied for residency under Skilled Migrant Category.
Now, Can I change a new job by applying new work visa?
I think yes, if so, will there be any implications on my residency because of that?
After changing the job, should I have to submit my new employment letter, letter from employer w.r.t future growth areas etc. again?

Hi. So far as your work visa is concerned if the new job is for the same occupation and you want the same type of work visa you can apply for a Variation of Conditions using form INZ1020. You will need to supply your passport, the signed offer letter, employment contract and probably an INZ1113 (unless it is a WTR: Accredited Employer visa). In relation to your residence visa, I would notify them of the forthcoming change and then send in the new evidence. You might want to wait until you know that your variation of conditions has been approved, because if it isn't I assume you will stay with your existing job.
