No regrets whatsoever. NZ is this lovely oasis from the oncoming storm in the world. Whatever your politics, the democratic system works to give you a voice and everyone has a POV. I'm sitting watching the sun go down after a glorious day in Welly. We just bought our first kayak. Spring is here and the Tuis are singing. Not everything is perfect (could do with a Costco) but it's pretty darn fine. My only fear is that we will have our first terrorist attack (which we are not at all ready for) and this peaceful wonderful beautiful country will lose its innocence. For those thinking of coming, give a thought to what the world will be like in 30 years time when we go from 7.2bn to >10bn people, perhaps higher. Even if NZ grows (which it will), a nation of 10mn in a country the size of UK will not be overcrowded. Next stop, citizenship.
