    Default Relationship Breakup issue

    Situation:
    - I am holding NZ work visa and my partner has Student visa
    - my visa is dependant on her (Work Visa Bsed on Partnership)
    - I have renew my work visa few month ago
    - Now I have work visa till Mid 2016
    - I have Full-time work and contract going on

Recently we had some conflict among us.
and she threat me that she will contact to INZ and will say we are not in relationship anymore so they will cancel my visa.

    Question:
Is this possible ? or just a lever for her to rule me
If relationship breakup does it affect current granted visa of dependant ?

    cheers

Yes. A partner-sponsored temporary work visa is only valid while there is a partnership.

If your partnership is seriously likely to break down, you need to consider whether you may be eligible for a work visa in your own right, because of your skills and qualifications and the job you currently have.

No, it's not. You have to prove partnership while a partner-sponsored Residence visa is being applied for, right up until it is issued, but once you have Residence, it's yours, free and clear, and you can go on to get PR in your own right without reference to your partner, whether or not you're still together by then.
