Default My girlfriend hasn't had a job?

My girlfriend hasn't had a job for the duration of 3 months since i moved in with her. She gets some money from work and income every week but don't getting much money as she has a partner (me). So apart form all evidences that we need to prepare to apply for residency visa I would like to know if her income will be a problem when I apply for visa in the next 9 months ? If yes can she just get a job before I apply or anything i can do ?
    Cheers

These are two pages about sponsoring a partner for Residence, referring to the eligibility of the NZer to do this. I can't see any mention of money at all.

Are you on a work visa at the moment? How long does it run for?

there's no income threshold requirement for a partnership sponsor.

INZ says a partner-sponsored Residence visa are allocated a CO in 6 - 9 months, then the processing comes afterwards and takes as long as it takes.

However, you could apply at any time for a partner-sponsored temporary work visa - you already have evidence of enough time to qualify for that - and this visa can be renewed until you have enough time to go for Residence, and while Residence is being processed. See here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...milystream.htm under Your partner is a New Zealand citizen or resident.
