    Default Salary requirements

I have a new boss at my place of work. She wants me to work 6 days a week to bring my salary up to the required 45K to apply for residency. I have told her that this would not be accepted as immigration will class that as working overtime to bring my salary up to the 45K but she isn't convinced...am I right here in thinking this?

    Thanks

At http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/46411.htm we find Section SM7.10.1 c ii saying this, just after mention of the $45K salary requirement.

For the avoidance of doubt, the annual base salary excludes employment related allowances (for example overtime, tool or uniform allowances, medical insurance, accommodation) and must be calculated on the basis of 40 hours' work per week.
So you would have to be getting the $45K for working a 40-hour week, regardless of how many days that is spread over.
