Question About to submit EOI. Please help!

I am prepare to submit EOI. I am currently here in NZ on a visitor's visa applying for jobs. I am short of 45 points in order to make it up to 140 points. With a job offer that will make it to 140 points. I just want to ask if the job offer MUST be relevant to my qualifications. Thank you for your time.

This forum has kept me going forward and provided answers for my questions. The moderators had done a very excellent jobs.

If you put in an EOI with a skilled job offer relevant to your qualifications, you only need 100 points for it to be selected at once at the next draw.

Look at SM7.10 and SM7.15 for the regulations about what a job offer MUST BE in order to count for the EOI. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/30545.htm

Thank you for your kind response JandM.

Currently my points are Age-25, Qualification-60(Level 9 Already assessed by NZQA) and Family-10. I am cut short of 5 points without a job offer. This delay me in submitting my EOI.

Any more suggestions? How about if I get a job outside healthcare but relevant to public health( my qualification). Please clarify..so I can change my job search options.
    Thank you for your time.

Here's the description of what ANZSCO recognizes as a Health Promotion Officer. http://www.careercentre.dtwd.wa.gov....n-officer.aspx (It doesn't matter that that is an Australian site, because ANZSCO covers both countries.) If you can get a job that uses the skills described (and the job title doesn't matter if the range of responsibility is right), it doesn't matter whether the employer is in the public domain or a private company.

    Dear JandM,

I appreciate your help. This made it clear for me to broaden my job search. Being speaking English as a second language can make it hard for me to understand the Immigration policy.
