    Default grounds for refusal entry

    Hello,

Been reading this forum a while back. I hope somebody can help me

Is having fibroids/myoma can be ground for refusal entry in NZ?

My doctors said surgery will be the last resort because fibroids reduce upon menopausal period and i can undergo medication to shrink the fibroids. I just wonder whether my case will be a big deal.

I am planning to apply for partnership visa this year and hopefully you guys can give me information and some advice.

    Thanks

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/46506.htm That is the link to the acceptable standard of health. As you can see, there is no mention of fibroids as being a problem.

When you attend for your medical check and have to talk about your medical history, if you say your doctor has told you your fibroids can be controlled by medication, then this should pass as a controlled condition. Many people pass the medical without difficulty with various common ailments that mean they will be on a regular course of treatment for the rest of their lives.

    Hi JandM,

Thanks for the reply. I think I was overly excited to join the forum and posted my query here instead to the immigration medical forum. Anyway, I will check the link you sent.

    Thanks again.
