    Default Uretiti DOC campsite

    Just back from a long weekend up at Uretiti--about 2 hours north of Auckland. Stunning white sand beaches, with lovely dunes and great surf. Warm water. Good rustic camping facilities (cool water showers, compost toilets, lots of water and slop sinks for use). Only $10 per adult per night.

    Part of the beach is naturalist ("nudist"), though wearing a swimsuit isn't an issue (I certainly did).

    Highly recommended!
