    Default Immigration Advisor

    Hi all,

I'm in a dilemma. I am currently using an immigration consultant to help me with my move to NZ. He's just done the initial work visa application and submission of EOI.

I would like to terminate his services as I feel like I've done most of the work and he just checks and is a paper pusher.

He reminds me that we have a contract. I have been paying him in phases. The next step aka the resident application would cost $3750. And that is a lot!

My question is, am I obligated or can I actually terminate the contract?

I'd appreciate any input and advice.

I think you're going to have to read the fine detail of the contract you have signed. I doubt that all advisers have exactly the same wording in their contracts.
