There really isn't anything comparable here, there is no consideration of your marital status (I presume you refer to the 'Ehegatten Splitting'). Everyone is taxed individually. There is also no consideration of children for your tax status. You will be better off if you have two people working on, say, $50000 than one person working on $100000.
However, as mentioned by the poster above, you can check if you are eligible for Working Family Tax credit (which may or may not be available to people who have been here less than two years, we have received contradicting advice).
