Time frame to look for job overseas

Hi All,

I have just got my visa approval and is working on my plan to move over to NZ. The earliest I can touch down in NZ is Aug this year. Anyone can advise if it is too early to apply for job from overseas now?

Its never too early, start from now and get familiar with the market. I have come across 3-4 situations when the employer waited up-to 3 months for overseas employee to join.

I'd certainly be looking at the market. Whether you should apply I guess depends on how special your skills are...would someone wait that long?
If you see my timeline my partner's employer waited 4 months for him to arrive.
