Claiming degree before graduation

Dear forum members:

Would you be so kind to answer my question, please? If a person is about to graduate and expects to get his degree certificate at the beginning of May, can he submit his EOI now, in February, and claim points for the degree, the proof of which he will get in two months? We know that it takes roughly a month to get selected from the pool and a month to get invited to submit an application. So, by the time, when the invitation arrives, this person will have a degree on his hands and will have no difficulty in verifying it. Can he speed up the process and apply now or should he wait until May, when he obtains the certificate? Many thanks in advance. Have a good day.

You can't claim for anything in advance with INZ. This includes e.g. work experience which WILL come to x number of years by a certain date, partnership which WILL have lasted x months by a certain date, as well as a qualification which you WILL hold after a certain date. Something could intervene so the expected outcome does NOT happen after all.
