Following a recent thread about what there was to do in NZ for teenagers, I thought we could post any good events or activities we spot for teenagers here.
Don't forget to say where the activity is!
Cheers

Tree Adventures is very cool place for active teenagers (and adults and youger kids subject to minimum height restrictions). It's located at Woodhill Forest, north west of Auckland. It's very similar to Go Ape in the UK.

My daughter is in the Young Mariners, which has several units on the upper half of the North Island, including Rotorua and Tauranga. It is a group for teenage girls who want to learn sailing and other water based activities. There are lots of camps and competitions. You have to wear a military style uniform for formal occasions which freaks me out a bit but doesn't phase her. Parent involvement is expected worse luck, as this sort of stuff is really not my bag.

nice thread
How is the scouting program in NZ? I know it exists, and I think is co-ed. My son is heavily involved in Boy Scouts in the US, and would want to join up.
I guess he would be in Venturers (http://www.scouts.org.nz/venturers/t...3/Default.aspx).
Does anyone have experience in Scouts in NZ? Is it active?
