Default About partner's early moving to NZ

    I am principal applicant.
If my partner and kid go to NZ earlier than me, is there any problem?
Can my partner work and my child study?

Assuming you have all been granted residence and have the labels in all your passports, then, yes, your partner and child can go ahead and study/work. Their continued residence status depends on you having entered NZ before 12 months after your visa label date has passed.

I heard that partner could come to NZ before principal's arrival, but partner could not work and apply for IRD until principal's visa activating. I am not sure it is correct. could anybody give comments on it?

That's not true. The partner has a visa as a Resident, and will be able to function as a full member of the NZ working community.
