Claiming points for EOI, especially work experience

Hi All,

I have received my IQA with specified outcome as Bachelor of Engineering Technology and my partner has also received specified outcome as Bachelor of Science. I have total of 10+ years of experience in software industry, with 4 years and 9 months in non-comparable labour market and rest 6 years and 2 months in comparable labour market.

Well now, can I claim points as below, especially for work experience?

Age: 25
Qualification: 50
Partner qualification: 20
Bonus points for Qualification in an AASS: 10
Bonus points for work experience in an AASS: 15
Relevant work experience: Should I claim points for 6 to 8 years or more than 10 years?

Based on above, my points could be 140 to 150.

You can't claim for working in a non-comparable market, unless you were working for a multinational entity. See SM11.10.1 b. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/i30610.htm

You can claim for work experiences if the work experience gained in a comparable labour market OR an area of absolute skills shortage.
