    Default Transport costs

    Hi all,

For a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (1 and 5 yrs)
Is $50,- per week on Transport Costs a bit on the light side?

I know it depends on where you travel, but just on average.

I'll be working most of the time but my wife and kids will be exploring Auckland.

I usually drive to work so don't have first hand knowledge of the public transport fares, etc. but you should be able to work out what your weekly costs will be from this website

    Thanks for the link.

I've been in this link before.

Can anyone explain to me what the diff is between City Link, Inner Link and Inner City Zone?

For example: if I lived in Onehunga and need to go to work (which is at CBD) what would it cost me per day?

The https://at.govt.nz/ website doesn't seem to work properly. (for trains)

Can anyone provide me with a "best guess" how far it will take from Avondale to Britomart by train? And what it will cost?
Just wanna get my financial overview right.

    Edit

    I found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ilway_stations
    So approx. 7mins

Whats the price of a trainticket?

use the Journey Planner option on the AT website. It will give you the price. I entered Avondale and Britomart and got:
Avondale Train Station, Avondale to Britomart Train Station, Auckland Central
    Departs at 07:31 30min
    WEST $5.00
If you used today's date to search, you won't get train info, because
Please be advised that buses will replace all trains over the Easter Weekend.
