Time to get permanent residency
I am planning on a move to New Zealand in February of 2016. I am going on a skilled migrant visa and plan on permanent residency. My question is once I complete two years of work in New Zealand (and assuming all the other boxes are checked), how long does it actually take to be declared a permanent residence? I am assuming that I submit an application once I complete two years but I don't know.

Once you fulfil the requirements here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...quirements.htm (the whole of the top section, and one of the criteria below, for commitment to NZ), you can contact INZ as directed here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...teps/apply.htm, and your PR can normally be put in your passport within a couple of weeks at the most.
