    Lightbulb Permanent Residency

    Hi,

My resident visa was approved on 13th December 2014.

To get my Permanent residence visa I have to fulfill one of the five commitment to New Zealand.

One of which is Established Base in NZ.

I had bought a house in NZ in Aug 2014 which makes me fulfill one of the commitment.

Does that mean i can apply for my PR now as i have a house and have spent 41 days in NZ with my residence status as mentioned in immigration website?

    Thanks

Sorry, mate. You need to wait till your activated resident visa is 2 years old.

No. Two years have to have passed since you activated your residence visa by arriving in NZ before you apply for PR. See the second point in the top paragraph. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...quirements.htm
