    Default work visa for partner

I am an NZ resident. My partner had 1 year work visa based on partnership. She got it after showing that we have lived together for ~3 months. She again applied for a work visa and got another 1 year work visa based on living together for over 1 year. Can my partner again apply for work visa based on partnership after the current 1 year work visa expires next year? Or my partner has to apply for PR based on partnership now? My partner had requested for a 2 year work visa this time, but INZ only gave my partner a 1 year work visa. Is there a limit to how many times my partner can apply for a work visa based on partnership? The main reason my partner does not intend to apply for PR now is because there is a chance we will leave NZ by next year (but to be on safe side my partner needs to apply for another work visa next year).

A person can only get partner-sponsored temporary work visas for two years in total. As you will see here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...milystream.htm it says this.
If you have been living together for 12 months or longer, we may grant you a work visa for up to a maximum of two years.
    (my bolding)

The next thing your partner can apply for is partner-sponsored Residence. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...ly/default.htm (PR is a different visa a person can qualify for after living in NZ as a resident for a minimum of two years, demonstrating commitment to NZ.)
