Default Flying in without label transferred visa

    Hello everyone,

Am new here and also flying into Auckland next week before Anzac day.

I have a blue sticker on my old passport that expired and i did not want to wait in Singapore for 3 days for a label transfer. So i'm going to treat my business trip back to NZ as time to do my label transfer at Queen Street Immigration. So my questions are:
    1) Am i going to be in trouble when i fly into Auckland next week with a Resident's Visa on my expired passport and a new passport in hand?
    2) How long will the label transfer take at Queen Street?

    Thanks

You will probably find you are not allowed to board the flight, and therefore never arrive at Auckland in that situation. It is several years ago since the word went out that it is no longer all right to have a new passport with your visa in an expired one.

J and M is right , but if you are travelling on a Malaysian passport and arriving with an outward ticket you may still be admitted as a visitor. Transferring a label , or in this case then confirmation of a visa is something that INZ Queen street may do " over the counter" , same day.
