Entry Funds

Thanks in advance for any info - everyone on this forum is crazy helpful!!

I am searching online and can't find out how much is needed to prove "sufficient funds" for entry to NZ. I am from Canada, so can come over for 3 months without a visa, providing that I show proof of other travel plans and "sufficient funds" for my stay. Does anyone know how much they are looking for?

Where would we be without google
I googled 'INZ sufficient funds' and found: Sufficient funds to support your stay in NZ - at least NZ$1000 per month for maintenance and accommodation, or NZ$400 per month if the accommodation has been prepaid
