Getting an FBI Criminal History From Outside the United States

Can anyone recommend the best way to go about obtaining a criminal history report from the FBI from abroad? I've spent the last two hours researching FBI approved companies online and am ready to scream - they all seem to be based in the United States and our time is beginning to run short, as we're relocating in September. We had our prints taken in the United States when we were on vacation just last week but, come to find out, my husband filled the forms out improperly and the prints were used to obtain an Indiana State Police criminal history report instead. The company that took our prints is completely unwilling to assist us in obtaining the required report and insists that we would need to return to the United States, as that is where their offices are. As we live in Norway and that is where we are now this, of course, is a ridiculous impossibility. Any assistance would be very, very much appreciated.

Oh, that IS bad luck. I don't remember anyone asking on the forum before about getting prints done in Norway.

There is also this site, actually about getting a visa for the US, but it mentions that the embassy in Norway will take fingerprints for that purpose, so maybe they would also do it for the FBI check - worth asking. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/no/no-niv-photoinfo.asp

Thanks, JandM. After my mini freak-out my husband did some research and contacted a company that will be able to assist us, using fingerprints that we can have done at the local Norwegian police station. I'll get the information from my husband and post it here for anyone that runs up against the same issue in the future.
