PR status if Job search in Australia

Hi All,

Just want to understand i have just been granted PR i.e converted from WORK VISA. I would like to know if there is any option where i can look for work in Australia based on my PR and will that be counted towards my stay of PR.

If you have just moved on from a work visa, you have Residence. PR is a totally different visa you can only qualify for after two years minimum living as a resident, and other requirements. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...quirements.htm

Neither Residence nor PR gives you any rights in Australia. Only NZ citizens have the right to a special visa for Australia. And, Australia being a separate country, if you did go and live there, the time would not be counted as showing commitment to New Zealand.
