Well, that was easy. We thought it would be far more difficult and take much, much longer. Very simple process! Be in a genuine relationship, collect adequate evidence, fill out the forms correctly and you're done. Our application was pretty much just the same as the partnership-based work permit application, with a couple of minor additions. Someone advised to send in a shoe box full of evidence. We decided against this and went for a 'quality over quantity' approach, instead sending in just a small folder.
We are both shocked it has been approved so quickly. Ironically, our residency application was actually faster than both previous work permit applications. Is it appropriate to write the CO a thank you letter?
