Default Additional evidence requested for work visa - help?

Hi everyone. My boyfriend applied for an essential skills work visa on 9th June. Today, he received an email from CO raising a couple of concerns which he and his employer need to clarify.

I've read the letter they sent and the issues seem really odd to me, and I wondered if anyone with more experience in immigration could help us make sense of what they want us to send as further evidence and clarification.

It is unclear from your application the exact job title you should have as the Employers Supplementary form shows Assistant Farm Manager, the Employment agreement shows Assistant Farm Manager, however the accompanying copy of the job advertisement shows Assistant Manager 2IC.

Could you please have your employer clarify this for us please?
Could you also please clarify the name of the business you will be working
    for us please?

Obviously I understand the final question. His employer has spoken to them already and is writing something to send to them to clarify. From our end, what do we need to next? The letter implies that if we do not submit further evidence, the application will be rejected. What evidence can he send? Or is it just evidence from his employer? He is employed as an assistant farm manager, and I think their concern is that the original job advert was not for his role as it is worded slightly differently!

Thanks so much in advance. I'm trying not to stress out, my boyfriend is pretty chilled about it and I guess it is a minor issue but I really just hoped for no issues and smooth sailing!

1 more thing. The letter is dated 1st July 2015, but has a "must respond by" date of 25th June 2015... Do we need to contact them to point this out, or assume it's human error typing error?

It is just evidence from the employer that is needed. But just to tick every box for them, in his place I would write myself and say something like, 'In response to your query letter of 1st July, 2015, I understand that my employer, Mr X, has spoken to you and written to you, and I trust that deals with the confusion. I have replied before 25th July, 25th June as mentioned being presumably a typing error.'

    Thanks for that.

Well, my partner's employer sent an email to them last week explaining the difference in the job titles and a screenshot of where she advertised the role highlighting that there was not an option for assistant farm manager, so she chose the closest to that that there was. It's now the 7th working day since that was sent, so we should really hear back today... Fingers crossed, anyway! Once he's approved, then I have to get a move on and get my partnership visa rolling.

Thanks, you too! It's a nerve wracking process, eh?

Well I've been at work today checking his online immigration status every hour and it's still pending! So I guess we're waiting a little longer. I was going to wait until September to send off my partnership one as I have until end of October on my current WHV, but now I'm thinking I'll send it ASAP just in case. I understand INZ has a lot to deal with, and lots of different cases, but my partner's issue seems so simple which makes me wonder why it's taking so long to decide. I know nothing is simple to INZ as they have to be extra cautious, but it's still frustrating.

His work visa was approved today! I'm so relieved. He's been given a 2 year work visa which is also handy for us, as we didn't want to think about residency right now and if he'd been given a 1 year one, we would have had to start residency pretty much immediately.

A stressful month, but glad that part's over. Now I have to get mine started!
