Hi Uma,
We have sent all the docs on April End.And Interview done by CO on 24th aug.Still status is pending...
Do they require more docs.We haven't received any mail asking for the same..
The CO will contact you if they need more information.
After interview, the CO can usually make a decision quite quickly about what outcome they want to recommend for the applicant. However, before this can be told, the case has to go for second-person checking - this is a look through by another official, checking for errors and to guard against the possibility of corruption. At the moment, INZ offices all seem to be very busy, and there is a queue for second-person checking. How the long the queue is at your branch will depend on how many applications have been going through just before yours.
Therefore, it's likely that your file is just waiting its turn to be seen for the second-person check, and you have not heard any news about it since the interview because there is at the moment nothing to tell.
First of all, Congratulations to everyone who have been successful in the SMC. And Wishing All The Best to those who are in the process.
My SMC application also got approved recently, and I am so happy and relieved about it.
I need a help from all the successful people, especially those from India.
My CO is from London, and I need to send the passports (mine and my wife's) to London for the Visa stamping. I spoke to DHL, FedEx and some other courier companies, but everyone refused to deliver the passport outside India.
I want to know if anyone else has been able to send the passports outside India for the Visa stamping through any company? OR what is the way to do that?
The alternate route is to ask the CO to transfer the application to India, which will take a longer time, and I want to avoid that.
JandM and others - Kindly advice me on this.
thanks

Hi,
You can't send your passports out of India.
Send an email to CO stating the fact that no courier company will does that. Then CO will send something (may be a letter or some confirmation) to either New Delhi (mostly the case) or Mumbai branch that so and so person will send his passport along with his wife's passport for stamping. Then the branch will give you the blue stickers.
It will not take much time. They don't need to transfer your whole case to India.
Hope that helps.
Regards,
Raju
Thank you, Raju.
(And yes, it's quite right - the whole case doesn't get moved over. Your CO just arranges for the stickers to be put in the passports at one of the offices in India.)
