    Default Health insurance?

    Hey guys,

    Just wondering, what (if any) rights does my partner get to health care in NZ with a partnership based temporary work visa?
    We're just considering what our best option is for her health insurance.

    She won't have any rights to use the NZ health service unless her visa is for 24 months or more (or if it came to that, added on to a previous one). http://www.health.govt.nz/new-zealan...-years-or-more The only exception to that is if you have NZ citizenship or Residence, she would have full access to maternity care. http://www.health.govt.nz/new-zealan...nancy-services
