Default Visit visa for parents - 6 months +

    All,
We are relocating to Nz by Nov/dec 2015 on Talent visa.
I wish my parents accompany me while moving due to some personal adjustments and hence filing for their visit visa now.

Address : i do not have an address yet to add to application as thier address during stay

Funds : I cant sponsor them as no finance history in Nz. However, my parents can show sufficient funds and so can i in current local currency

    Questions
    1) is it ok to request for a 6 months multiple entry visa ? Is there a probability of any rejection in such case
    2) is it mandatory to show onward ticket while applying visa ? - the problem is my dates are not firm, hence cannot commit on thier dates

Any other tips tht can help prepare thier documentation will help

    Please guide

    Cheers

Visitor Visa will most likely be valid for 9 months and single/multiple entry is discretionary. Yes, you need confirmed return tickets/accomodation & funds in local bank account or credit card to apply for visitor visa.

There is a grandparents visa as well you may want to investigate.

The parent/grandparent visa http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...tors.htm#aid17 won't be available in this case, as there would be all sorts of difficulty with proving the requirement for the sponsor, who has not even arrived there yet, to be in NZ during the time of the parents' visit(s)

http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rd.../0/INZ1025.pdf Sponsorship requirements for a visitor's visa are on the form. I am doubtful that you would be acceptable as a sponsor when you have not yet activated your Residence visa - I don't KNOW this, but be prepared for it to be questioned.

It may be possible to arrange for use of a mailing address, to get over your lack of one so far - see the advertisements for several companies on this page. https://www.google.co.uk/#q=nz+maili...=Google+Search You could then update INZ's records to a genuine 'home' when once you know where that will be.

Yes, it is mandatory for there to be an onward ticket.

In general, I am thinking that you are not going to be able to arrange this so far in advance. When your own plans are more developed, you have a better chance. INZ doesn't deal in matters of 'if' and 'I don't know yet'. Otherwise, perhaps they may be able to get a visitor's visa in their own right without your sponsorship, since you urgently want to start arranging it now - the paperwork would be more normal without your still uncertain arrangements.

Oh, I now see it's the Talent visa you've got. No, that is not Residence, and it will mean you can't sponsor your parents for the visitor's visa either - see the link in my second paragraph above.
