Chances of citizenship approval for PRs
Hi all,
Can I trouble you all with another question?
Let's say I was granted permanent residency and fulfill all the necessary conditions eg time spent in NZ. Does that mean that an application for citizenship would in all likelihood be approved? I am aiming for citizenship not just residency. I really need to know as much as possible before I make this big move.
Thank you so much for all your help, as always.

The two things aren't directly linked, except that you have to be a resident in the first place before you can apply for citizenship. The requirements for citizenship are here http://www.dia.govt.nz/diawebsite.ns...1?OpenDocument and on the next pages (follow along). There are no tricks in this - follow the rules during your five years after activating your residence visa, and you will be accepted for citizenship when you qualify.
