No, not at all. I came from the US and I love NZ. The only change I'm looking to do is get out of Auckland and down to Tauranga. Having been to Russia (Moscow, Leningrad and a couple of others), I can understand your point of view.

Love it. When shipping anything here it feels like another planet.

Ok. You get the same life challenges as in the Uk. There is more space (fewer people) and we definitely always get a summer which is wonderful.

I didn't appreciate the beauty and benefits of living in NZ until I'd spent some time living in other countries. We've got it pretty good here. We may not have the rich and old history of other places, but there's nowhere else in the world I'd rather live.

What is there not to love about living in this beautiful country? I love how there is not a lot of people, lots of beautiful things to see, I love how we have a summer here, love how winter does not really restrict you on things you can do and I especially the laid back lifestyle… Only one thing I cannot get my head around and I doubt I ever will but its not enough to go back to the UK and thats a summer Christmas ha ha… SO weird!!

Funnily enough I call leaving NZ going off-planet. But in a good way. Every time I come home I feel relaxed there are so fewer people here. Love living here. In fact I've met quite a few Russians here too.

Funny how you say that dede because no matter where we go in New Zealand the minute we see Mount Te Aroha on our way back, I always get a warm fuzzy welcoming feeling like a long deserved hug!!
