Default EOI :: Principal Applicant's English Language Ability. University Letter Format ??

    Dear everyone

I am looking at the EOI form: Section D: Principal Applicant's English Language Ability.

    I have IELTS band 6.
University medium of instruction was English.
Working in Singapore for 5 years now.

I had obtained a letter in 2008 from my University for the medium of Instruction:
Below is the format. Can anyone suggest me if this format is sufficient: ( I am unable to attach the letter as I have sent it for IQA)
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is in plain A4 sheet, black and white print.

    Title of University

    To whomsoever it may concern
    -- - - - - - - -
This is to certify that xxxxxx was a student in xxxx university and has passed BSc Computer Science with First class.
and the medium of instruction was English.

    Place
    Date
    Univesrity round seal
    signature

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I exactly do not remember who signed it.
Looking forward to your valuable replies.

I think same as well. That should do it. In my case, I submitted my degrees (English medium), A cover letter explaining how I satisfy English requirements. I didn't submit IELTS. And it was all fine....

Thank you JandM and vikusmile .
    that's much reassuring
Btw, just like to check with you: I submitted IQA on July 2nd. Documents received and file set up on July 2nd. Still it is not allocated.
    Should I contact NZQA?

If you didn't select fast processing option, it may take up-to 30 working days to complete the processing. One thing I noticed when I had my application done, once its allocated to the officer it wont take long time to complete the evaluation and quality checking(If everything goes fine 4-5 days after being assigned). You just have to keep your patience. best of luck

Do you remember how long it took to get to the allocation stage?

    hi all,
I read INZ operation manual which mention: the qualification had a minimum completion time of at least two years and is at least a bachelor degree
    http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/41495.htm
In my case, I have 1.5 years completion time of bachelor degree and 3 years of graduate diploma.
Am I eligible to use University Letter instead of giving IELTS?
    Thanks

    Thank you w&k

I see that it takes about 4 weeks now to get allocated.
I am still waiting for allocation.
I will update my time lines once I get allocated. My file was set up July 2nd.

The paragraph you quoted only applies if your qualification was gained in NZ. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/41495.htm If yours were gained elsewhere, I should think it's worth trying - that is 4 1/2 years' study.
