Additional doc requested in AIP letter

Dear all,

Just got approved online, still waiting for AIP letter. I read some threads on other forum about CO requesting additional docs (payslip, IRD, updated contract........) in AIP letter. Could anyone advise under what circumstances will this happen? Any chance of application decline at this stage?

Here is my timeline to share with everyone.

Online approved 10/08/2015

I can't think of any circumstances in which a CO would ask for such things as you mention AFTER approval of the application. When you're told you're approved, the CO has actually finished your case. Your name is passed on to another department for the clerks to send out the letter and information package. The letter is only to say you are now due to pay the Migrant Levy and send in your passport for the visa (blue sticker) to be put in it.

Can you give a link to where you saw this statement?

Thanks JandM for your reply. I actually saw it in a Chinese forum. I found it odd too because I thought the same way as you do. However, it seemed really happening in rare cases.
