Effective date of claiming points will it be EOI or ITA submission date

Hi,

I have a friend who wants to apply for SMC. He has got around 135 points right now and would get 140 points this December as his IT experience would be 6+ yrs by then. He is applying for NZQA right now and would like to go for EOI in November but can he claim points in EOI for the work experience he would gain in December as he would gain 6+ yrs experience by the time he applied for ITA. What Will the CO CONSIDER?

INZ does not consider claims for anything in advance. He can't claim for six years' experience until he has put in the full six years' work.
