My friend got residence visa last year in may on partnership base

Can she sponser someone else ..as she is seperated from last relatioship??

No. She will not be eligible to sponsor another partner until at least five years have passed since she got her own sponsored visa. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra.../nzpartner.htm

As she had one work visa olso before the resident visa??

If she sponsored the last person for his residency that she can''t sponsor you. You have to wait for 5 years than she can sponsor you. If she got a residency from someone in partnership category and she left him than she can sponsor you.

Like it says on that link...

If a sponsor was a successful principal applicant on the basis of partnership with a New Zealand citizen or resident, they will not be considered eligible unless:

at least five years has elapsed since the date they were granted residence on the basis of the partnership
and
they have not supported or sponsored any other successful principal applicant on the basis of partnership.

Okay, so she WAS a successful principal applicant on the basis of partnership etc., etc. - she applied for Residence, her then partner sponsored her, and she was granted Residence.

You say she got her Residence last May. She will not be eligible to sponsor anyone until five years from then, so the earliest date will be May of 2020.
