Default ITA Fee, should be paid only USD? or RMB is available?

Almost every docs is ready to go and only payment problem is left with me. I'm with Shanghai Branch.

    When receiving ITA, payment option was mentioned as below;

"The fee for this application is RMB 12,720 or US$ 2,065. You can pay by USD bank draft (US$ 10 extra fee) only. We do not accept money orders or cash."

I'm going to a bank tomorrow and question how to pay through bank draft. But I don't know what currency I have to choose.

These days, paying with RMB is a little cheaper than with USD. So I want to pay in RMB but 'USD bank draft (US$ 10 extra fee) only' makes me confused.

If USD is only option that I can pay, why do they mention RMB 12,720?

BTW, Why do they not accept credit card?????!!!!!!

If in doubt use USD, most of the banks issue Bank Draft and you will need to provide payee details provided as in the ITA pack.

    Hi Sayeeh

    I will need docs to be returned. So total USD is = 2065 + 10 + 30 ?

In whose name should I obtain the bank draft ?

I mean, the bank draft should be in "favor of " what name?

This page http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/ex...96DF2B84F2.htm says about some additional fee of 225 CNY etc. A bit contradicting.

I will be submitting the application from Singapore.

    Thank you for the reply.

In my case, I opened a US Dollar Account then deposited enough to make a Bank Draft/Manager's Cheque for $2105 (yes, 2065 + 10 + 30).
This was on one of the ITA files sent, so I used Dollars instead of RMB.

    17. Application Fee

Application fee is either RMB 12,720 (for applicant’s residing in China) or US $2,065 (for applicants residing outside of China). If paying in USD a $10 bank fee is also applicable.

    And also this

If you are paying by USD bank draft, please address the draft to: Immigration New Zealand Shanghai. For each bank draft payment, please add additional USD 10 as bank fee charges.

You would need to obtain the bank draft in favor of "Immigration New Zealand Shanghai".
During my submission of documents I just obtained the bank draft for USD 2065 + 10.
