Permanent Resident application - how long for stamps on passports?

Hello,

does anyone have any idea of how long it takes to get the passports stamped when applying for the PR (we have a resident visa, and the 2 year anniversary is approaching), assuming that everything's fine with the application?

We will need our passports back in a couple of weeks, max, from when we give them to INZ with our application.

We'll be lodging the application in Wellington, but a general idea of any NZ branches would be useful.

We walked into INZ Auckland around 10am on a weekday and were out in about 45 minutes with the fancy PR stamps. I have heard the process is bit slower when you post it to the INZ offices and processing time is bit longer these days.

I suggest you phone the office you are going to submit to, to see what they say. As you need your passports for a particular time, it may be possible to arrange something specific.
