Are there any nurses in thos forum? Is IELTS mandatory to work as nurse in NZ?

My partner is a Bsc nurse with 3.5 years experience as nurse ( medical and surgical)

Without getting IELTS ( 7 in all components) Are there any ways to get registration in New Zealand for working as nurse?

If anyone has any experience, please share.

All nurses have to be registered with the NCNZ. They require IELTS with a 7 in all areas or OET for foreign nurses (except those from Australia), and yes, this includes people whose first language is English, such as the British and Americans. http://www.nursingcouncil.org.nz/New...-from-overseas

Yes it is mandatory now. I was lucky, just slipped in under previous legislation.
