parents PR

Hi all

I am asking this question behalf of my friend.

He got nz citizenship. he sponsored his parents for parents category visa and they got 3 yrs visa. they came here for 6 months and thn went back.

Now they want to apply for Parents Category PR. can anyone help me what they need to do.

I'm assuming when you say, "He sponsored his parents for parents category visa and they got 3 yrs visa," that they got a parent/grandparent visitor's visa.
